AW17 STATEMENT BAG: THE CIRCLE

Is it just me or have you all been seeing Circle bags popping up everywhere?

Every brand on the planet have their own version ranging in style, colour and price. It's the must have bag at the moment and I love it. It's large enough on a quick school run for keys, purse, gloss, and different enough to last season to be a stand out piece. My budget doesn't stretch to the Luxury Brands but I'm lucky enough to have bought a Louis Vuitton over 10 years ago so I'll be digging that our sharpish. Many of the High Street brands are getting in on the act, so here are my favourites from High End to High Street.... (Red Hush is calling to me!)

The Luxury Brands

Mulberry

First introduced on the London Fashion Week catwalk, the Trunk family is inspired by a vintage hat box and finished with a beautifully-crafted bombe handle The new Trunk Bag has a neat and nostalgic silhouette with refined hardware and detailing, has a versatile detachable strap and sumptuous quilted lining. In two sizes...

The round shape of Diane von Furstenberg's 'Circle' clutch is reminiscent of '90s CD player cases. Handmade from suede and leather, this slim style is sized to stow your phone and cardholder. Keep a compact in the external pocket for easy on-the-go makeup checks.

Diane von Furstenberg's bag channels the season's love for block colours. Designed in a sleek circle shape, this mini style is made from butter-soft leather and calf hair in vivid bright-orange, navy and camel hues. It has a canvas-lined interior fitted with a zipped pocket for your cards and coins.

Made from leopard-print calf hair and buttery black leather, Jérôme Dreyfuss' circular 'Remi' bag has two compartments for keeping everything organized – the back section is equipped with six card slots, a pouch pocket and handy vanity mirror. The braided suede and gold chain strap is long enough to be worn comfortably cross-body.

Jérôme Dreyfuss draws inspiration from his stylish friends. Made from cracked-leather to catch the light, this 'Popoche O' clutch has a twill-lined interior to hold your cardholder, lipstick and cell phone. The round silhouette fits comfortably in hand.

Nico Giani is the name on every fashion insider's lips right now, especially now founder Niccolò Giannini has won the 2017 'Who Is On Next?' award, presented in collaboration with Vogue Italia. Shaped into a circle, this 'Tunilla' bag has been designed and made in Florence from smooth leather and features a top handle and detachable shoulder strap. We think the sunny yellow shade works so well with pale denim.
