MAKE A MAGICAL MOVIE MOMENT

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and getting to do something with your loved ones and family is always the top of my list. It’s not just London where you can experience luxury movie screening – back by popular demand (last year 4,500 tickets sold out in 15 minutes!) snuggle up on the infamous red sofas, favourite tipple in hand and enjoy deliciously created menus from Tom Kerridge, Atul Kochhar and Rick Stein (dependent on Venue) and all accompanied by the famous Hand and Flowers Ice Cream.

Starting this week (it kicks off Friday 8th December with Casablanca) Marlow will once again be turned into a frisson of festivities. Right through December until the 5th January, the Gourmet Picture Company will be popping up around my magical town of Marlow fusing food and film.

It’s all inside across a variety of venues. Riley Park (who hasn’t kicked a ball and got their children cycling through Riley Park), the gorgeous Tudor Bisham Abbey, and some weird and wonderful locations including All Saints Church, Clarendon Art Gallery, Platts Garage, Gatsby Menswear, Marlow Rugby Club, Tom's Butcher's Tap and the recently gained Michelin star The Coach. I am chuffed to bits that #stylishschoolruncommunity local company Firefly Events are popping up at Bisham with some scary cinema and running some matinee performances for kids at the All Saints Church Hall.

Transformed into a picture palace with plush red sofas, films screenings will include Christmassy classics like ‘Elf’, ‘Santa Claus: The Movie’ and ‘Miracle on 34th Street’, with more up to date films including ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘Wonder Woman’ to the classic ‘Dirty Dancing’ ‘Top Gun’ and children’s favorites ‘Toy Story’, ‘Finding Nemo’ ‘Despicable Me 3’ and ‘Moana’. With matinees and evening performances there is something for everyone.

What better way to experience food from three of the most revered chefs in the UK!

Cooking up a storm and bringing his favourites is Triple Michelin star winner local resident Tom Kerridge (The Hand & Flowers and new addition to this year's Michelin Guide The Coach) Landing his first residency at Bisham Abbey, Michelin star Atul Kochhar will bring traditional Indian with a contemporary twist and last but not least OBE Rick Stein will return bringing his beautiful Cornish seafood to the residents of Marlow.

The Menus:

Potted salmon and coronation chicken

Mac and cheese with pulled pork and chicken tikka masala.

Vegetarian dishes including five bean chilli and winter vegetable lasagne

Hand & Flowers ice cream.

Atul Kochhar

Duck rillette with passion fruit or beetroot, avocado, pomegranate and sweet potato chaat

Join in the festive fun…

So whatever your excuse, if you’re wanting to experience Tom’s award winning food and a classic movie without the 6 month waiting list, booking a Boys curry night watching Clint Eastwood’s 'Unforgiven', grabbing a glass for Girls Night and ‘Dirty Dancing’ with Patrick Swayze, squeezing in a pre-Christmas date night without having to travel to Padstow or spending quality family time with an experience to remember. There’s something for everyone….

Don’t be disappointed, book your tickets now.

Love and kisses
