STYLISHLY ECO-FRIENDLY

Over the last 13 years Trainer Brand Veja has been taking the market by storm with its environmental and ethically conscious shoes. Founded by friends François-Ghislain Morillion and Sébastien Kopp, the vision was beautiful shoes that respected the environment and the people making them. they practice what they preach, they don't use sweatshops, they don't use expensive advertising and they only use ethically sourced materials - all the materials are grown and farmed in Brazil, including the rubber that they use on the shoes logo, which comes from the Amazon forest.

When you think of eco-friendly it generally doesn't conjure up an image of beautiful, but at Veja style is really important and you can tell. Simple, minimal, classic, unisex, they look equally good when worn with your favourite jeans and the look of the moment a dress for a laid back feel.

Price point? They aren't cheap but they are around the same price as Ash, Air and Grace, the new Nike and Adidas that everyone is wearing, but I think they are a little different and this seasons they have introduced Holiday which looks very like New Balance and their collaboration with J Crew.

Holiday not only looks chic but its upper is made from recycled PET (30%) and recycled cotton (70%), it has low chrome leather sections, the inner sole is organic cotton for comfort, the Logo V is wild rubber (60%) and 60% of the sole is made from wild rubber from the Amazon.

Here are some of my favourites:

Many High end boutiques are stocking them, if you like to go shop then check out local Heidi and Hudson in Amersham and Gerrards Cross. if you don't mind buying online my suggestion is go straight to Veja they end up being slightly cheaper than some of the boutiques.

However, La Redoute stock a small range and have discounts on a regular basis. This is an exclusive and in the sale.

If you like this one - its in the sale at Quattrorish
