LISA WAS ON A JOURNEY THAT REQUIRED HER TO BE FIERCE
Well the day has come, welcome to @stylishschoolrun.com A huge part of this journey is to help #empoweredwomenempowerwomen. Building a community of talented, supportive and inspiring local women to promote, support, nurture and grow others is my goal for working solidly over the last couple of weeks and on the journey that I'm embarking on.
I thought long and hard about who would be my FIRST, but in the end its was a no-brainer. I met Lisa a year ago through @Immortal_fit she welcomed me into the fold, and over the last year we've had a lot of laughs, we've cried (well I have lots) we've put the world to rights and we've trained hard. Lisa is our queen of @immortal_fit winning 'Bootcamper of the Year voted by us.
Lisa is a very busy, running her own business working mum of two, who sets herself a new fitness goal every year to push herself. This year Lisa set foot into the ring fighting her very first boxing event helping to raise over £28,000 for @cancer_research_uk
Not a bruise in sight, I give you my INAUGURAL EMPOWERING WOMEN, the passionate, dedicated, brave and inspirational Lisa Tavinor. Here's her story
Tell me, a little bit about yourself…
Mum of two wonderful boys, run a flooring & construction company with my husband. I was introduced to Immortal Bootcamp when my youngest started at school in September 2014 and I wanted to get fit. Fast forward to 2017 and I'm going to take part in a charity Ultra White Collar boxing event to raise money for Cancer Research.
How did you get into fitness / pushing yourself out of your comfort zone?
Setting fitness goals is important to me, Stu @immortal_fit suggested a boxing event as a challenge and the guys at bootcamp thought it would be a good idea.
Since getting back into working out I set myself a goal of completing a new challenge ever year, the first of which was a half marathon, followed by Tough Mudder and Spartan races. I want to show my children that anything is possible!
What's your usual week / day look like?
Juggling work, children and bootcamp
What inspires you?
Bootcamp friends they are all amazing. My husband!!
What did you want to be growing up?
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My Children, they constantly make me proud to be their mum
What’s next on your to do list?
My pile of work on my desk
When are you happiest?
With my family .... or in the boxing ring!
When was the last time you laughed out loud?
Last bootcamp, it's one of the reasons I love it
How as women, can we help to empower others?
Not to be so judgmental of each other, and always support each other
What’s your style?
Throw it together, it is something I'd like to get sorted. The number of times I just stand in front of the wardrobe wondering what on earth I am going to wear on a night out.
Whatever you are doing, do it with a smile and a spring in your step
Can’t live without…
