STORYPREZ: BLOOMING WHERE SHE'S PLANTED!
I've known Stacia now for over 10 years, I cant believe it but it has to be. We met at the gym ( pre my children, and my eldest now is 9) and became running buddies, setting life's trials and tribulations to rights, ranting, raving, laughing or just enjoying pure silence and taking in the beautiful running routes around Marlow and the surrounding areas especially on our long run Friday's. Injury and kids prevailed but our paths still cross and I love StoryPreZ.
Stacia has turned around what she loves into a business that can give real, tangible results. She's passionate about what she does, she's infectious, is always questioning and that's what makes her successful. She can identify the story that matters to you personally and for small or large business more importantly what matters to their customers. In the words of Meredith Lavitt 'Don't be afraid to tell Your Story, Your Voice is important and Your Story is unique! Here's Stacia's story...
Tell me, a little bit about yourself…
I am a creative based in Maidenhead. I’m originally from the US with dual citizenship Irish/ American. I have raised two children from babies to teens here in the Thames Valley and work as a LAMDA teacher, Storyteller and Creative Partner with Businesses, Schools and Public Venues. I play tennis love live music, theatre and gatherings of good friends working out at the Marlow Club and being outside!
How did you get into this field of work?
I have employed my skill as a trained, jobbing actor and knowledge of technical communication into teaching students and adults in business how to speak in a public forum. Helping people craft their story and present it with impact resulting in transformation. To free the story and assist in giving people the confidence and practical tools to tell their story clearly so they can connect with their audience is a source of great joy and satisfaction
Plus, I love to perform and connect with people too! Hence I am developing my own presentations and shows.
Why StoryPreZ?
I am passionate about sharing the stories that have empowered me and given me the insight to understand how to create the next chapter in life and make sense of what has and is happening in your life. Bringing out the best in people and helping them shine – Story + Presence/Presentation =StoryPreZ
What's your usual week / day look like?
I have had to adjust from the last 12 years of running around as a peripatetic LAMDA Drama teacher in 5 different schools + business single mother and learn mono-focus! Getting a workflow based on themed days to #getshitdone has been a big mindset change for me. I write daily and have a radio slot on Mondays with Marlow FM. I am a member of a London based business club Sister Snog and there are events monthly I attend. Then there are 1:1 clients, private students, workshops and group classes to fit in.
I usually start with yoga & meditation practice and morning pages early then emails and off to gym or exercise then delve into 3 Most Important Project on whatever theme the day is around delivery / meeting commitments. (Marketing Mondays Respond Tuesday, Biz Development Wednesday, Admin Thursday, Review and Create Fridays …)
